Brighton Pier & Battle of Hastings

On August 27th-29th the kids had a bank holiday so we went about an hour and a half south to Brighton Pier. We explored the town and the Pier, the kids enjoyed the rides, searched for sea shells, and went to a chocolate shop. We also drove to the Battle Abbey, where the battle of Hastings of 1066 took place. We visited Herstmonceux Castle, from 1957 to 1988 its grounds were the home of the Royal Observatory, Greenwich. It is now the home of Queen's University.

Abby sized door but not made for Randy.

Throughout the field they had all these soldiers and you read about the battle. The kids enjoyed recreating things and copying them.
