Wales

The kids are on Spring break and we are excited! We started by leaving Friday for Wales. Our drive was suppose to take 2 1/2 hrs to Cardiff, Wales. There we were going to tour Cardiff Castle and walk along the bay and explore. Then we were going to head to our final destination, Tenby, which was 1 1/2 hours from Cardiff. Well, because of the extreme holiday traffic it took us 5 hrs. just to get to Cardiff. By then the castle had closed and we just explored the bay. We then headed to Tenby and settled in.
We spent Saturday exploring Tenby & walking the beach looking for seashells. It was a cold, rainy and miserably windy day but we didn't let that stop us from enjoying our time there. Saturday night Randy's niece joined us. Sunday we went to Pembroke Castle. There the kids enjoyed exploring the Castle and they even had a dragon egg hunt. We also did some hiking along the Pembrokeshire Coastal line. It was so BEAUTIFUL! The wind was crazy along the coast but we just didn't get to close to the edge. Sadly on Monday we had to go back so Randy could go to work Tuesday and our next round of company is due to arrive on Thursday. Our journey home was much more pleasant at 4 1/2 hours! We all loved Tenby so we will definitely be back.
